Lost at Sea
To the ends of the earth, the boy set out, to take the world by storm
The wind was strong, and it carried him off, away from the shore
But the waves grew in size, and they threw him about, until he was washed overboard
And his little boat, and all he had known, sank beneath the waves
And the storms they came and they went, as the currents swept him along
He clung to the last piece of the ship as he bitterly wept and cried out
To the sun for not being there and wished that he would just drown
As the clouds parted ways and the sun came out and shown on a distant shore,
It was calling out
Come to me, leave the wreckage behind,
Come to me, there’s nothing left for you there anymore
Let the water wash over him, as it bore him to the beach
As he crawled out from amongst the waves, thanking God for the ground under his feet
And the sun shone brightly overhead, like a long lost friend who’s come out to greet
He laid on his back in the warmth of the sand and stared up at the heavens above and
They were calling out
Come to me, leave the wreckage behind,
Come to me, there’s nothing left for you there anymore
